Stone Care, Polishing, Cleaning and Restoration

The natural stone that you have selected for your home or office is an investment that will give you years of both service and beauty.

An important factor in maintaining the beauty of the stone is regularly scheduled maintenance treatments of its surface and finish.

When too much time passes between these treatments it becomes harder to maintain the original look of the stone. Often times it becomes a costly restoration process, rather than a simple "tune-up" in order to return the look you originally selected.

GROUT CLEANING, SEALING & REGROUTING

Professional grout cleaner services including grout and tile repair, sealing, staining and replacement using the latest technology. Our technicians are trained on all types of grout repair, regrouting and tile cleaning. Clean, restore and seal your tile grout to a like new appearance for healthy living and stain resistance.

PORCELAIN TILE CLEANING

Porcelain tiles carry their color and pattern through the entire thickness of the tile. The tiles are quite hard and can be pressured cleaned, if the grout is in good condition. (see photos)

Some of the processes to cleaning, polishing and restoring marble, granite and other natural stone floorings, counters and walls are:

Grinding
Grinding sands the stone surface using abrasive diamond discs - this is done when there are uneven tiles or when you desire to remove deep stains and scratches.

Honing
This is the smoothing of the stone, using diamond discs to remove and polish scratches and can also round edges for a smooth finish.

Polishing
Achieving a high shine on a stone surface is a multi-process - using fine abrasives and later powdered abrasives for the final stages. Our skilled craftsmen make the process look simple after years of experience.

Crystallization
In the crystallization process a fluid is sprayed on the marble and then buffed with steel wool. This protects the surface, makes it shiny and extends the wear. It takes years of training to master this process.

Sealing
All natural stone and marble is porous and susceptible to staining. Granite is the most durable. Its inherent hardness and resistance to food acids make sit the choice for kitchen counters. Most granites are carefree; light cleaning and yearly sealing will keep your investment looking new for years. Sealing is recommended every 1-2 years to protect your stone work and save thousands of dollars if a full restoration is attempted after years of no care.

Scratch & Stain Removal
Scratched and stains happen. All spilled liquids should be wiped up as soon as noticed. Acidic spills such as orange juice, vinegar, wine and sodas with etch or remove the polish from the surface. We can remove most stains and scratches and restore the original look. Give us a call.
